Sort of a slow week, John's crew finished repairing the ceiling in the family room. Looked like that was going to be it when suddenly on Thursday the Amtico floor stuff mysteriously moved from the garage into the dining room. This was but a precursor to real excitement as the very next day the crew came in and actually installed the entire floor!
John called later in the afternoon to explain that with the floor down, they can now push to finish up the project. Next week they plan to install the last two appliances and hook up the dishwasher plumbing. Next the electrician gets to come in and connect all the appliances as well as installing all the receptacles, undercounter lighting and our overisland pendant lights. Last we need to get the carpenters back in to install some undercabinet trim, level and adjust all the doors, install the handles, and put in the toe kicks.
There will of course be a number of punch list items (we're making the list already) but that will be about it, other than paying the final bill!
